The Deputy Manager's main role is to support the Manager in all aspects of Nursery matters. They must be conversant with all Policies and Procedures, the Job Description of the Manager and all other staff, and must be able to manage the nursery is the absence of the Manager. They should be able to work as part of the Staff Team and liaise between the Staff and the Manager. The Depute Manager will oversee the Under 3's. At all times the Deputy Manager must display a high level of enthusiasm, loyalty and motivation and must adhere to the correct policies and ethos of Little Stars. They must promote equal opportunities for all. They must at all times promote the good name of Little Stars. They must be a role model of good practice at all times.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated practitioner within our busy nursery. You will work within our 3-5 room, this is an exciting role for a practitioner to work to develop the playroom within the nursery. Candidates must be fully qualified to the level of SVQ Level Childcare and Education, HNC Childcare and Education or NNEB and have at good knowledge of current legislation and guidance for example Pre-birth to three, Curriculum for excellence, GIRFEC and building the ambition. You must also be registered with SSSC and have at least two years of relevant post qualifying experience in an early learning and childcare setting. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the follow skills and qualities: work with an already established team and provide the highest Care and Education for the children who attend. Have a fascination and curiosity in the development of children Show a commitment to ensuring their professional development remains relevant and up to date through accessing current research on child development Be an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic person with the ability to have fun Demonstrate compassion, kindness, integrity and authenticity Salary and Job package details available at interview.
