Location

Rosemount Children’s Centre is situated in the heart of the village of Dollar, at the school gates of Dollar Academy. Parking is available in the street to the front of Rosemount.

The Opening hours: Monday to Friday all year round

Full Day Session: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm

Morning Session: 9.00 am to 12.00 pm

Afternoon Session: 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm

Fixed Holidays: 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period + Easter Monday

Maximum Number of children: 54

Out of School Club

8am to 9am

12noon to 3pm (August to October only)

Cybercentre Club

3pm to 6pm

8am to 6pm (School Holidays)

Rosemount Staff

Rosemount is staffed by qualified and experienced childcare workers who receive ongoing training on current issues concerning childcare and education.

To ensure a high standard of care and attention, minimum staffing ratios as per our governing body Joint Inspection Unit are as follows:

* 50% of staff at any given time must be qualified

* 0-2 years, 1 adult to 3 children

* 2-3 years, 1 adult to 5 children

* 3-5 years, 1 adult to 8 children

* 5-15 years, 1 adult to 8 children

All nurseries must adhere to this ratio at all times. However at Rosemount these guidelines are exceeded by qualified staff.

* Wide range of planned activities for children aged 9 to 15, including computer games, videos, arts & crafts, competitions, sports, science experiments, web design and cartoon-making

* Child has access to the latest technology, a computer suite linked to the internet with e-mail access, web cameras, DVD players, Lego movie-maker, scanner, digital camera and full range of software
* Homework support, if required, access to reference software for homework and specialised software for those affected by dyslexia

* Tuckshop provided for children
