We have a large colourful fully equipped baby room, which includes a separate peaceful sleep room and a separate nappy changing room. We also have a safe secure outdoor area for parents who like their child to enjoy sleeping in the fresh air.
The staff in the baby room consists of nursery nurses and midwifes who are specialists is caring of babies in this age group.
We encourage our babies to gently learn and develop social skills using equipment such as table top toys, shape fitting tools, musical toys etc we also encourage our babies learning with art and water activities such as body & finger painting and water play.
When both the parents and the nursery nurses feel the babies are ready the child will move into our tweenie room where the staff encourage the child in learning new skills.
We encourage the children to learn and enjoy activites such as sand and water play encouraging mathematical skills such as pouring, weight and volume. Arts and crafts, using pens, pencils, crayons, play dough etc. In this room they also enjoy learning to bake and enjoy outdoor activities such as visiting the train station and nature walks.
We also utilise our onsite facilites using the squash courts for soft play, dance and games, which helps with the development of social, physical and movement skills.
Again when we feel the child is ready they will progress into the junior room, in here we follow the curriculum framework which encourages skills such as; communication & language, personal & social, aesthetic & expressive, knowledge and understanding.
We follow structured activities planned for the month where the room co-ordinator will choose a theme to follow such as the colour red, and the season autumn etc we use these to learn all about those subjects and create the art and activites within the room to follow the theme.
