Our baby room is a bright, spacious and stimulating environment for our babies to explore. We have up to nine babies cared for by experienced members of staff who carry out home routine as much as possible. Weather permitting our babies are taken for walks in buggies everyday to allow opportunity for fresh air. Staff to child ratio is maintained outside.
At around the age of fourteen months or when your child is steady on their feet they shall progress to the Tweenie room. This is a large spacious, colourful and exciting room where up to twelve children can play. There is a routine which staff use for continuity and this ensures the children are being offered a wide variety of activities each day. Our Tweenies also get out and about everyday weather permitting.
At around the time of your child's second birthday they shall move up to the toddler room. Here they will have a more structured day and more emphasis on learning through play. The toddlers shall enjoy outside play and regular visits to the local parks, beach and library.
Your child shall move to the pre school room around their third birthday. In this room emphasis is placed on learning through structured play and fun. Each child is given lots of opportunities and experiences such as cooking, role play, musical activities etc. Our pre school children also enjoy outdoors, spending time at local parks, beach and library.
This area is used for various activities including dining, music and movement, baking etc. In addition our front area hosts our library which is free of charge which all our children use on a regular basis. There is also an adult's library for parent's to borrow books if they wish.
This room is used to encourage physical development when the weather disrupts our outdoor activities. We use this room most days though as the children love it.
We also have a separate sleep area where our babies can relax and sleep in a calm, cosy and quiet environment..
In recognition of the fact that education begins at home, Little Vip's is fully committed to a partnership with parents. The needs of your child would be fully discussed prior to admission and this would be an ongoing process between parents and staff. We hold parent's evenings and regular newsletters are given to all parents. Our notice board is also useful to keep families up to date.
The nursery is owned and managed by Diane Brown who is a qualified nursery nurse and has over 15 years of experience in childcare.
Our team comprises of a blend of mature, experienced and qualified nursery nurses. The staff are dedicated to providing your child with care, patience, affection, enthusiasm and understanding. We aim to provide a secure family environment where you can feel relaxed and confident in the knowledge that your child is being cared for by loving dedicated staff.
