Jigsaw Babies is only a few steps away from Jigsaw Nursery's main building. The babies enjoy a large play room, a separate sleep room, and a soft play room to develop gross motor skills. Jigsaw Babies accommodates 12 babies from 6 weeks to approximately 18 months old.
A separate sleep room is located off the baby room, which allows babies to sleep at a time which fits into their individual routine.
The tweenie room accommodates children from approximately 15- 30 months. The tweenies day includes free play, an art/baking activity, story times, music /singing times, messy play i.e sand, water, paint, playdough. Jigsaws and construction toys are also popular with this age group. Snack and meal times are at regular intervals so that the children feel secure within the nursery routine.
The ante pre-school and pre-school children use this quiet area, allowing them access to books, drawing, colouring, and other quiet games and activities. As Jigsaw Nursery is a Partner Provider Nursery with The City of Edinburgh Education Department, we are able to offer grant assisted places for 3 - 5 year old children. Our nursery teacher is very experienced and introduces the children to all five key areas of the curriculum to fulfil their learning experiences.
This bright and cheery area is a favourite with children and staff alike! The conservatory is the play area for the ante pre-school and pre-school children. There is a book corner, house corner, computer area, dressing up area, and toys and games too numerous to mention!
