The Nursery is situated in a quiet area of Portobello. There is ample car parking which makes it easy to drop off and pick up.

The Opening hours: Monday to Friday

Full Day Session: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm

Morning Session: 7.30 am to 1.00pm

Afternoon Session: 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm

Fixed Holidays: 2 weeks at Christmas and New Year

We at Highland Fling believe that a child should be introduced to a world of fantastic opportunity, learning many new skills in a fun, safe and educationally stimulating environment.

Highland Fling is situated in the quiet sea side town of Portobello where children are cared for and nurtured in the homely environment of Highland Fling House. With 6 different themed rooms our highly enthusiastic and qualified staff provide a variety of activities for nursery children all day long and provide after school and wrap around care for children between the ages of 2 - 12 years. We believe children should be free to explore their natural environment and regularly take day trips to local amenities and Highland Flings own caravan at Seaton Sands where we also offer overnight camping adventures for children over 8 years. We have high standards and provide high quality care but, most importantly, we have created a safe environment where your child can relax and have fun!

Our landscaped garden has been designed to incorporate play and imagination with our captains boat, floating in an ocean of blue bark, a large play house with a garden for younger children and a sand pit with a weather proof covering.

Games are often organised in the garden and with a variety of play equipment, this is a popular area on dry days.
