The baby room accommodates up to six children in a relaxed and stimulating environment, with the emphasis on continuity of routine between home and nursery. Here your baby will participate in a variety of activities including water play, song time and sensory development.  

Younger Tweenie Room

At this time in your child's development they will gain confidence to explore new areas and skills. All activities in the Tweenie rooms are planned to provide your child with the support and encouragement to allow them to develop emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially.

Our toddlers enjoy various activities throughout the day. These include: themed topics, Soft Play, "Arts and Crafts" and baking. They also have the opportunity to participate in dance lessons. Children of this age are encouraged to become more independent, thus helping the transition into the pre-school room.

The aim of the pre-school room is to prepare your child to be a confident and independent learner. A key worker system is in operation in this room to allow your child the individual attention which is important in this stage in their development. With the assistance of a qualified teacher, all activities are planned with the child being at the centre of their learning. Additional activities in this room include dancing, Spanish and swimming lessons.
 

The children enjoy "storytime" in this relaxing area, either individually or as a group. We have a varied and wide selection of books and story tapes, which meet the needs of the pre-school children.

The well equipped soft play room allows your child to explore and investigate their physical capabilities in safe surroundings. This room is adapted to cater for all age ranges within the nursery.

This room caters for children aged from 5 to 12 years old and can be combined with a school pick-up service from Kings Park Primary School in Dalkeith. During school holidays this room operates as a Holiday Club where the children participate in various activities such as outings to Dalkeith Country Park.
